This organization also supports low-income families by providing the start-up materials and training to be able to grow their own food, as well as participates in community events (farmer’s markets, farmer support groups) to offer support and education. Oregon Food Bank’s Nutrition Education program offers hands-on cooking and nutrition education classes to low-income community members by partnering with community organizations and social service agencies serving limited- resource clients.
